Yep, my wife went through menopause. She's 53 and doing ok now, but man, it was tough sailing for a while. That sheet was no fun for her and for me.
Yeah, the forked up thing that I have learned is that perimenopause can start up to 10 years before you reach full-blown menopause. Which makes sense because I can look back and recognize that at 38 is probably when it started for me. I always had oily skin. When I turned 38, all of a sudden my skin changed to really dry. Nothing I would have attributed to menopause at 38 years old. So now I'm like k, cool. Every year it will just get worse while I have the added joy of still getting a regular period and all the joys of dealing with that. Oh yay.
