I mean they do have experienced NFL guys like Nuss and Staley to work with Moore. And some of the position coaches are long time NFL assistants. Although mostly on the offensive side of the ball. And I think the fact that the trend with the defensive position coaches are college coaches where as the offensive position coaches are guys with NFL experience makes sense in light of the fact that the offense is not really old but the defense is very old and will need to add a lot of very young talent very soon.
But, yes, I do think there is a mindset that you hire the smartest, most innovative guys that are the best at developing talent to coach your team. It's the reason you hire a guy like Moore in the first place instead of a very experienced coach like McCarthy. The differences between the NFL and college are getting much less significant theses days and the things that are different don't really fall on the position coaches. Those are more issues for Moore and the coordinators all of which are very experienced in the NFL. Moore and Nuss not only have coached in the NFL but have also recently for Moore, played in the NFL.
