This is from Trip’s piece on NOF. Maybe I’m just reading this wrong but I don’t see this as a huge endorsement of Carr or his future with the team. I wouldn’t expect him to say “yeah, we’re cutting him” or they’re exploring trade options. I dunno. It feels like a very generic statement that leaves all options on the table. If Carr stays they can say he’s a quality player they can live with. If they do part ways they can point to the financials.
If I had to bet I’d say it looks like he’ll more than likely stay for one more year. However, Loomis left wiggle room here in case something changes.
