Underhill thinks Carr will be Saints starter [mod edit: Moore-Carr meeting went well; Saints plan is to keep Carr in 2025 & figure out contract]

Just last week in Elvis's thread about how the Saints should cut Carr with a June 1st designation, you were in full support of it. You basically said the Saints had no choice but to cut Carr and that they would. Now you're saying they couldn't cut Carr because the dead money?

I can only speak for myself, but when I point out the objective factual reality that none of here have nearly as much information as Loomis, Moore and Carr, I'm saying "take that into consideration." I'm not saying "shaddup."

Why do people grandstand with threats of putting people on ignore? Just do it and go about your business. No need to announce it.

And for a few weeks before Elvis convinced me they could, I had consistently said they would have to keep Carr.

I'm not into the 'was I right, was I wrong' game. I carried and expressed anger because when I looked at the cap/dead cap current and past, I was pissed by not seeing a healthy spreadsheet until 2027. That would be clear grounds for firing of the GM. He gambled on DA and aging vets and we all lost in the quicksand pit of loser mediocrity.

But he's safe here, that's the reality. It took me years to understand the dead cap and not be further deluded by him about getting under the cap while ensuring an underpaid, depthless roster compared to other teams. And paired in matrimony with the year-over-year significant mortgaging of future cap space. I would estimate 80%+ of the fanbase knows little to nothing about the dead caps.

We spend gobs of our time here because we love the Saints and frankly, we deserve to win more and not be burdened by one man's myopic ego. The fact that season-ticket holders pay thousands each year and then get trapped by that major family expense and their love for the team is freaking disgusting. Unfair. Anger and blame justified. I will never not give voice to what I strongly believe.

Don't be that guy who says to anyone 'your opinion is not valid because you are not in the room where Loomis works.' We all analyze, speculate, and debate with strong emotion because we love the New Orleans Saints as a cultural bedrock in our souls. Andrus gave us this sandbox nearly 30 years ago for the same exact reason.
