I've never been an Olave fan. I like WRs who are adequate blockers and can be a threat after the catch. That's not Olave at all. His game is similar to Brandin Cooks, IMO.
The trouble with giving him another year is that this is his contract year. I realize we could take the 5th year option on him, and I'm not sure how the economics work on taking the 5th year option and then seeking a trade. I suppose that's possible. And if the logistics work, maybe that's a better way to go to potentially maximize his value.
I'd also want better compensation than what's being proposed on this Patriots forum. But I'm definitely interested in trading him and getting appropriate value sooner rather than later.
