Underhill thinks Carr will be Saints starter [mod edit: Moore-Carr meeting went well; Saints plan is to keep Carr in 2025 & figure out contract]

Yeah, I'm not happy with the Carr decision or talk about spending in free agency, although Underhill and Tripp tempered that a bit saying that Mickey still says he's in soft reset mode and will be careful to keep working on getting the cap right so I don't think the plan is for old high priced vets. But, yeah, Garrette would not be the move. Hopefully if they spend in free agency it won't be crazy and they do deals for young players with big upside like the did with Gay last year. That didn't work out great, but it was the right idea. Even Young would have been a good idea had they not added void years to his contract.
I don't even understand this idea of a "soft reset". Mickey wants to be just good enough to miss out on a potential franchise changing draft pick???

What's the logic there??

Sure it's never a guarantee you'll find your franchise guy but you never will if you don't try. And another .500 give or take season doesn't help anything.
