Underhill thinks Carr will be Saints starter [mod edit: Moore-Carr meeting went well; Saints plan is to keep Carr in 2025 & figure out contract]

Yeah it’s wild ain’t it? It’s almost as if yet another NFL coach has watched extensive film to form actual educated judgments of the player and concluded he’s worth committing to as a starting QB, even if only short term.

I will just never see what makes this player so bad in some people’s eyes. He’s by no way perfect or elite, but he’s also not the absolute worst QB on the planet the way people talk about him. I’d even say he’s better than average. I’m confident every time he drops back.
I think there are multiple factors in play. I think the biggest one is guilt by association with Allen. I think some people can't see Carr as anything but an extension of Allen. There's also a lot of personality bias in play. Carr has a bit of an Oddball (intentional capitalization) personality type which some see as disingenuous and phony. Then they got all into those negative waves about him feeding his children at Chipotle when he and his family first got into town.
