Jaxson Dart: I've tried to model my game after Jalen Hurts.

I don't know why you think they are so committed to him that they would not draft another QB. We already know that they really like Ward and have talked to the Titans about the cost for trading up to take Ward. That price was too high, but it's pretty clear they are not out of the QB market just because they think Rattler has some potential. They also like Sanders, but they think he has a late first or 2nd round grade.

As far as history, they drafted Haener 2 years after they drafted Book and they drafted Rattler the year after they drafted Haener. So they seem to be drafting QBs pretty regularly in the last 3 or 4 years. That's 3 QBs drafted in 4 years.
I find it cool that you know that the Saints have approached the Titans about trading up for #1 and that they have a late-first early-second round grade on Sanders.

Keeping and paying Carr and having Rattler on the roster would not stop me from drafting a QB in any round this year or any year for that matter. Having an all-time all-world QB for a decade and a half kept us out of the serious QB market for a long long time. Having a Super-okay QB and a 2nd year developmental QB on the roster shouldn't have any bearing at all on us searching for a QB. QB is the one position in sports you don't stop looking until you've found one, he's proven himself, and you have him locked in long term. And as soon as you find your guy, you immediately begin searching for a back-up QB that can keep the offense going if your QB1 misses time.

Year before last, we thought Haener showed some promise. Last season Rattler outperformed Haener hands down. Draft a guy this year that beats Rattler out and you've improved by at least two levels... Or Rattler makes a leap and the new guy get's sent elsewhere or held on to as a back-up if you liked what you saw in him.
