I don’t blame Sean at all. If anything, I believe Sean had no faith in the late round QB strategy, but was a team player by following the organizations wishes. The Saints haven’t drafted a QB in the first two rounds since Archie Manning and they had a hell of a lot of time between Manning and Brees to at least try once. It seems to be by design IMO.

How many decision makers that were with the Saints between Manning and Brees are currently decision makers for the team? As far as QB search strategies, I'm not sure Loomis makes that call. I'd bet that it's on Moore, Nuss, and Ireland to figure that out and on Loomis to try and figure out how to make it happen whether it be trades, contracts, or writing a name on a draft card.
