Ross Jackson’s biggest takeaways from Loomis, Moore and Ireland at the combine

I said "AT BEST"

Which would require hitting on FA, Draft picks, and coaches while missing injuries.

Last I check... We need to rebuild our dline with one of the worst rush defenses in the league. Need 2 starting caliber CBs. Starting Safety. Probably another quality LB. A starting LG, RB, TE, and probably one more WR with Olave being a concussion away from retirement.

On top of a veteran QB, and RB that can't stay healthy and are extremely fragile. Then, you have your 35 year old gadget QB coming off a horrific knee injury.

Like can we just be in a real... The FA that Saints are getting are either probably mid level or injury prone at best.

In a perfect world, they push the cap beyond a sustainable method for a mid team that at best can only get you 10 wins with no little ability to grow from there.

Those 10 win really worked out for the NY Giants and Daboll, right?

Can we get out of this fantasy land of "We magically improve" and make noise. Tell me how they are going to do that while running back the same team as last year with a lot less talent. Then, tell me how they are going to be able to build and maintain a core from there.

We got into that situation where our only option is to hit on draft pick and we drafted Trevor Penning and such that need years to develop.
Its not sneezing at a 10 win season in 2025....its accepting mediocrity at best for the forseeable future by continuing on the same path that landed you there for the last several seasons.
