Fans need to have patience with Moore and the Front Office.

I believe most on this forum and a good bit of the FA base understand the situation of this team and the obstacles Moore has in front of him.

While I’m not saying this season is wash, if we have a bad record but can see that players are at least trying and improving as the season progresses, then fans will be more optimistic. If they come out and play lifeless like they did for Allen then there will be questions. Player development will be a key focal point for this coaching staff that will determine their success rate.

It will be interesting to see how many UDFA’s we bring in given our lack of cap space and severe depth issues. We’ve been really good as a team in finding hidden gems in the UDFA pool. This goes hand in hand with the player development piece.

2026 (year 2) will be the real telling season. The cap situation should be a lot better and core players will have a year in the new schemes. This will also give Moore and Staley a years observation on which players they can build around, who needs to move on, and who they can bring in to fill the gaps.

IMO, the staff Moore has assembled gives hope that we will be using faster paced schemes on both sides which will hopefully improve our defense against mobile QB’s who have been killing us.
