He's not Barry Sanders. Doesn't have that level of quickness and agility. Almost nobody does. And Barry played 27 years ago. Defenders have gotten much bigger while also getting much quicker and faster since then.

There have been several short backs that have had success in this league.
If he was 5-9 instead of 5-8, this would barely be getting talked about.
5-8 for a back of his caliber is a non-factor. We aren’t asking him to do anything with his height (catch passes in traffic, see over the OL to complete passes, etc.).
