The Texans, Vikings and Eagles are contenders. They are right in the middle of their window of opportunity. This is when you take chances. Not when you are beaten down, have an old roster and are in need of a rebuild. It was obvious prior to Sean's last season that we needed a change of direction and strategy. Instead we have doubled down and are stuck in mediocrity with the can still kicked another season or two out. While I point the finger at Mickey, I think it's Lauschca and Gayle that insist on this idea of being competitive so they can keep selling tickets. They are afraide of fan fall off during a rebuild. It would energize me actually. Knowing we would be potentially headed in a healthy direction, rather than kicking the can would be something I could rally behind.
