Not all. I'm a LSU fan and Mathieu can go. It doesn't matter what the cap hit is, I'd rather roll with a rookie than have that lack of effort, business decision guy on the roster going forward. Yes, he's good in the community, but giving up on plays isn't a good look when we are trying to change the culture.
I think if the Saints feel certain he will be replaced in the starting line up and that he will react in a way detrimental to team unity, then I think cutting him is the best course of action. Team unity is more important to me than cap savings.
