What if Carr tells this to the Saints brass, and they actually like the player (which based on previous year's tea leaves, they do) and would be willing to make moves to accommodate?

I mean, you yourself would do the tough guy thing with Carr, but the Saints front office itself may not have that same mindset.

Yes. It is my opinion and I think it's the right way to run a team. And maybe the team doesn't agree with me.

But, it's also possible that the team does agree with me and that Carr either takes a pay cut with no string attached or they will cut him. Loomis and Moore left room open for that to happen. Now I suspect they will work things out and come to an agreement that saves the Saints cap space and gives Carr what he wants, but I highly doubt any such deal would be dependent on Davante Adams.
