I understand your concern, however, NDSU currently has 12 players in the NFL. This is not your typical small school. They played the Colorado Buffaloes this year and lost in the 4th quarter, 26-31. There is good tape of Zabel when his team won the Division 1 Championship this year. Also, Mauck didn't need much development when Tampa signed him. He started day one of his rookie season and has been a starter since. Zabel is projected in the second round and not a reach. Major program players can also take longer to development. Let's circle back on Zebel next year at this time and compare notes.
