Saints Cap Moves: $33,780,933 cap space ….. 8 restructures, 3 extensions, 3 pay cut, 1 release [All current cap moves are in OP below line]

It's crazy to me that there are people out there that actually think NFL teams operate with no foresight whatsoever and wouldn't see this problem coming years in advance and fix it if it ever came to it.

As if the Saints right now and each year are shocked when they see right before the league year that they're negative on the cap and are now scrambling trying to figure out what to do.

People don't agree with the philosophy when you're not a contender. We all know that Mick does this, but stretching the limits as a non-contender is shortsighted. Also, the restructuring concept is akin to using one credit card to pay off another because you still owe the player money.
I know this because we've discussed Mick's philosophy in several threads. If Drew was behind center and we were a legit title contender, this would not be a discussion, but we need to reset/rebuild strategically, and from the outside, that does not seem like what's occurring.
For record, this is not about McCoy. Prior to Ram's injury, they looked like great picks.
