Canada Goose vs Bald Eagle

I grew up using pure honey on pancakes, which to me is 1000% better. I don't remember even seeing maple syrup in a supermarket in my hometown until around the late 80's? We got honey from a stand in the "big market" (that's what the old market in the center of the city is called), from a guy who bottled his own stuff, not even a label on the bottle.
We did that when I was a kid -- also had peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Good stuff.

I remember when I was older, though, we'd have pancake syrup, and then as an adult one time I decided to "splurge" for real maple, and I've been buying it ever since -- can't go back to the fake stuff.

Then there's a lady that works for me, who told me that her parents always bought Karo corn syrup to put on pancakes (and not the dark kind but the clear one).
