Saints Cap Moves: Derek Carr restructured, Erik McCoy restructured; J. Williams released; cap space is at -$8,543,537

I know. But it was always false hope. Loomis didn't fire DA. DA was only fired because Gayle did it. Now he's doubling down on everything we were doing with the exception of what Gayle forced on him. Loomis believes what he believes and he's showing us that he's serious. It's just that most people that follow the team and cover the team disagree. I've never been big on the whole "fire Loomis" thing, but his retirement or firing him is the only thing that's going to change anything.
I don't think firing Loomis is the only thing that's going to change it. The only two reasons you continue being competitive and not tanking as fans want is.

#1 You're tied to a veteran roster and it would be extremely disrespectful to tell them you're going to waste a year of their limited career to lose.

#2 Our division is trash. When Drew has be interviewed he's pointed it out and it's obvious there's no 2017-2020 or 2006-2011 Saints team in it. So because it's not say, the AFC West...staying competitive is the absolute right thing to do.
