The issue when drafting QBs, you want them to be as pro-ready as possible. If they have too many bad habits to clean up, then they aren’t pro-ready. I like Shadeur he’s got great talent, but also has bad habits. He runs backwards to avoid sacks, that’s a NO NO in the NFL. Ask Haener if it works. Shadeur lacks pocket presence as evidenced by the amount of sacks he takes. And it’s proven statistically, that if you take a lot of sacks in College, you also take them in the NFL. Do we really want to see our QB running backwards taking sacks? The NFL is lightning fast. College is not. I’ll say this as a disclaimer, if we drafted him at 9, I’d be stoked, because they would tell me that KM thinks high of him and his bad habits will be dealt with.
