To be fair, there was more chance of Carr taking a pay cut than Adams taking $10 million to play here. The Rams always made the most sense.
Carr was always highly unlikely to take a pay cut but the only reason he would have is if he actually though the Saints would cut him and he could not make up the money as a free agent. He was never going to cut his salary to sign Adams or any other player. Derek is always going to get his money.
