This article goes into depth about Staley's defense. Where do you see Godchaux playing?

Coming out of LSU, he was projected as a 3-4 DE at 6'3" 310lbs, but now it looks like he's 330lbs.

I am curious if they seem him as a 330lb guy now in the middle or have him drop some weight and go back to the 3-4 DE he was coming into the league. I think we are back to having coaches with a vision who can teach and develop.

Honestly, IDK. Prior to last year, he'd played mostly as a NT w/ over 60% of his snaps coming from that position. Last year he took 60% of his snaps as a DT via some 4i snaps and only maybe 20% came as a NT. He even lined up over T's and on the edge.

In the 2024 scheme he produced his best year as a run defender w/ 35 run stuffs.

In my earlier post I said NT, and they could certainly put him back there...but his best value may be as one of the DT/DE's in the 4i position. You could potentially see Nathan Shepherd cut.

@Rouxble , will have better insight into his 2024 alignments but he def played less NT last year.
