Chase Young re-signed to a 3-year, $51 million deal

There's a substack called Trench Warfare that tracks what they call True Pressure Rate for pass rushers. In short, unblocked pressures (low quality pressures) count for 0.5 points, wins against average blockers (high quality pressures) count for one point, and wins against blockers categorized as above average or better (rare high quality pressures) count for 1.25 points.

Chase Young was seventh in TPR last year, with one rare high quality pressure, 29 high quality pressures, and 29 low quality pressures, giving him a score of 44.75. He also had one of the better high:low quality pressure ratios, at 1.04.

If we can limit escape paths for the QB, Young may be able to capitalize this year on his ability to win at the LOS.
