If Haslett was an offensive minded coach I would agree but he was a defensive minded coach who went 5 years without recognizing our defensive deficiencies or correcting them with worse players.
I always said we were a 13 win offense with a 3 win defense which always put us in the middle. I think most of the credit goes to the much maligned Mike McCarthy who most here thought was too predictable and Aaron Brooks who had a 3 year stretch where he was at or close to the tops at 4th quarter comebacks (even though that is as much a reflection on our defense as it is on AB).
Edited to add a 2002 memory I think. Mark Fields covering Randy Moss 30 yds. down the field with no safety help, what were you thinking. Aargh!!
