I did not say he was blindsided by the restructure and all players are "trapped" by their contracts. That's part of being a Pro.
If he sat out to force a trade which would make no sense because the Saints would toll his contract and he would lose money, the Saints have no motivation to trade him. When they converted his salary to bonus it became guaranteed money that they are going to have to pay sooner or later. So, if they trade him they are going to have to pay him $30 million to play for someone else this year. That's a high price to pay for a 4th or 5th round pick which they would only get because his cap hit to another team would essentially be the vet minimum since we are already paying him his salary in the form of a bonus.
But, if you want to be blind to the facts, that's cool. But, stop pretending that it's delusional to believe 5 credible sources saying that Carr does not want to be here. If nothing else Carr wants to be a free agent or traded so he can get a new 3 to 4 year contract that the Saints aren't willing to give him right now.
He's going to be the starting QB this year barring him doing something crazy like sitting out. But I seriously doubt he would do that for the reasons stated already.
