Moore hadn't had a chance to talk to Carr before his press conference. Even if at that time Moore, Loomis and Carr all wanted Carr to be the QB, they still had to all discuss it and work some things out before any of them could make a final decision.

We don't know when Moore, Loomis and Carr all jointly decided that Carr would be the QB.

We didn't find out about their joint decision until about a week ago, so we weren't sure until a week ago. Again, we don't know when Moore, Loomis and Carr made their joint decision.
