Cam Jordan is returning to the Saints in 2025 [Saints & Cam agreed to pay cut, 10.3M savings]

I agree with you Rex. The film may indicate who can play, but the film will never indicate who can be COACHED to be better. And we have too many examples of former players being released and traded, then playing BETTER than they ever did as Saints. Enough examples that, IMO, if the choices are "player can't play" or "coaches can't coach", I'm more inclined to believe the latter. It seems that CKM places an emphasis on "teachers" for his positional coaches, which just makes too much sense to me. Coordinators should be teaching the SYSTEM, but positional coaches should be teaching the PLAYERS. An important distinction, IMO.

Too soon to say if CKMs way is the right way; or if he even chose the right coaches; but on paper, I'm VERY encouraged and looking forward to the results of that!
I agree. Let’s not forget that players gain reputations. And outside of the organization players and even coaches can become fans of other teams players. Are you really going to have the bowling balls to come to the Saints as a new coach and immediately cut, Taysom Hill, Demario Davis, Cameron Jordan, Tyran Mattieu, before really getting to know them first. It would be something Sean Payton would do, becaue he’s just that strongly opinionated.

As far as the vibe of the new staff, it feels like a really cohesive group with a positive winning energy about them. It’s hard to put your finger on it. But even when Staley was asked about if it was awkward now coaching under KM. He didn’t blink a second and shot that theory down. He was like, we’re all one unit, and titles do not matter. I get the feeling they all feel this way. I’m genuinely impressed. Anyone else have a vibe on them?.
