Saints making a push to sign Cooper Kupp [Cooper Kupp signs with Seahawks to a 3-year, $45 million deal]

The have to fill a roster next season. OTC currently reflects $22 million in space in 2026 with 33 players under contract. Of those, 7 are league minimum futures contracts. So, that leaves 26 players. So, they need to fill half a roster with that space. Young, Reid, and Yiadom are not in that number, so likely will soon be negative. It is still way too early to project where we will stand when the 2026 league year begins, but will likely still need a good bit of work.
Yeah I'm not including signings, but that's plenty enough to get it done. Like I said, it's probably around 40mil before you start restructuring. Around a mil per open roster spot. Just say 30 mil to fill the roster spots. You then have all that restructure potential to upgrade. They'll have a ton of options to do what they want. They won't be forced into anything like the Carr contract this year.
