I'd Feel Better about the Saints if...

In all sincerity? What do you want him to do? I was annoyed with him for his refusal to fire Dennis Allen, but that eventually got done. He's hired what looks to be a competent offensive minded head coach and they have assembled a pretty good looking staff on paper. They've also began assembling a team that's equipped to run the coaches' offensive and defensive style. We should've all expected that.

I know you had a thread of what you'd like to see the front office do this off season. Some of us tried to point out why that was unlikely given the wheel was already in motion with most of these contracts. It really didn't make sense when the cap would take care of itself with many of these contracts and the Saints would still have to sign a Carr caliber QB if he was still in New Orleans or not. He got Mathieu to take a pay cut. He got Jordan to take a pay cut. I'm assuming they'll address Taysom when he's not injured if at all.

As far as free agency goes. Juwan Johnson was a candidate to walk in my book, but the contract helps deal with dead money and its not outrageous for a player like him. The Saints offered even more money to Ward so I can only assume Adebo didn't want to be here. Theyve trued to land Kupp but thankfully didnt overpay although they were in it. So what is it that you want him to do that makes you feel this?

i don't always agree with him but he's far from a bad GM. He's not let Saquan Barkley walk in free agency bad and he's not profits over winning frustrating either. The main gripe has always been the cap this or that, but the cap hasn't prevented the Saints from being in on free agency from day 1. And much to the shock of the entire league and oddly some Saints fans, the Saints are going to enter February 2026 not in the cap hell people have long predicted.
I want him to be less arrogant and more self reflective about his failures. Instead he’s basically doubled down on most of his worst decisions and I am convinced DA would still be the HC had Gayle not stepped in. We’re running it back this year with largely the same roster after the worst season since 2015. It’s time for him to be done.
