What I’m getting from all of this is that there is very likely to be a really good WR at 40. So taking one with marginal speed at 9 doesn’t make much sense unless he makes up for it with elite short area quickness, routes, hands and catch radius.
He does. But, I don't think 4.48 or anything in the 4.5 range is marginal speed for a guy that size.
For what it's worth, Mike Thomas ran a 4.57 and he was plenty fast enough. It's not deep blow the top off of a defense speed, but that's not what you are looking for from McMillan.
