40 is a bit overrated. Xavier Worthy ran the fastest time ever recorded, has the best QB currently in the NFL and look at the lack of success with it.

Meanwhile you have guys who run high 4.5's getting open because of the quickness in their breaks and confusing the coverage with directional misdirection's.

Michael Thomas ran 4.57
Deandre Hopkins ran 4.57
Keenan Allen ran 4.71
Mike Evans ran 4.53
Drake London was a 4.5 range guy
Davante Adams ran 4.56
Antonio Brown ran 4.57
Cooper Kupp ran 4.62
Ceedee Lamb ran 4.50
Puka Nacua ran 4.57

The list goes on and on for top tier WR's that ran 4.5 or slower.
