WR Tet McMillan as the Saints pick at #9?

It's a handful of guys running 4.55 and slower. Most guys are sub 4.5 now.

I have an entire thread on WRs attributes from a few years ago. I don't have the time to put all the stats in there for the past couple years, but I might.
As I mentioned my list is 4.5 or slower as we have a wide range for Tetairoa’s actual time.

In looking at the “younger generation” of WR talent that ran 4.50 or slower:

Drake London
Amon-Ra St. Brown
CeeDee Lamb
Puka Nacua
Tee Higgins
Michael Pittman
Rashee Rice
Jaxon Smith-Njigba

There’s plenty of younger quality WR’s that didn’t run a fast 40 time. This doesn’t even factor in the vets that ran 4.5 or slower that still are playing at a high level.
He has the height, weight, RBS and hand size for sure. I haven't seen his Vertical, Broad, 3-cone or 20-yard shuttle.

His speed even at 4.57 is still okay for a bigger guy.
His times ranged anywhere from 4.46 to 4.57 today on different stop watches.
I was mainly keying in on your statement about there being a lot of guys in that range, but it's not the top guys. The top guys are faster than that and the handful you posted is just that, a handful of guys with 2 not even active anymore and a few more in the twilight of their career.
It was literally just a quick list of guys off the top of my head that ran slower 40 times.

In 2023, 3 of the top 5 leaders in receiving yards ran 4.5 or slower- St Brown, Lamb, Nacua.

7 of the top 15 in receiving yards ran 4.5 or slower in 2023.

In 2024, 2 of the top 5 leaders in receiving yards ran 4.5 or slower- St Brown and London

6 of the top 15 in receiving yards ran 4.5 or slower in 2024

This doesn’t even factor in that Nacua, Rashee Rice, Higgins missed significant time all 3 were likely going to be in the top 15 as well over a full season based off their per game averages last year.
The younger generation is faster except Puka who is a tactician.
See above list.

I really am not worried about Tetairoa’s time as he’s shown excellent traits on film. Plenty of current and past examples of WR’s playing at a high level with similar 40 times.
