If Jeanty, T-McMillan and Will Johnson are on the board at #9, who are you taking?

Define "weak". Everything I have read indicates that this is a very DEEP draft class, but lacking top-end talent. There are guys who will be drafted in the 1st round (likely between 20-32) that would not be 1st rounders in a typical year. Conversely, there will be guys drafted in the 3rd-5th rounds who would normally be 2nd-3rd rounders. If there was ever a draft to trade down and accumulate picks, THIS is it. But it's predicated on someone falling to #9 that someone else is in love with. If that happens, trade back and game on! If that doesn't happen, just stay put and draft BPA nine times. This would do wonders for our depth, IMO, and will still displace a few marginal current starters to backup roles. That's what a draft is SUPPOSED to do, IMO.
Yeah. I think lacking top end talent describes it better. The hope is at 9, you have the possibility of someone special falling to you. I feel like that would mean Ward, Carter, Hunter, or Graham, and I don't see any of them falling to us. Outside of those 4, I'm just not feeling special from any of the others.
