Physical traits, speed, agility, explosiveness attributes of Top WRs (What's the formula?)

Route Running, craftiness, sure hands and speed are attributes that I want to have in a WR. Funny thing is - that we have a guy. Only thing he doesn't have is size, but if he's hard to get hands on at the LOS (like he is) then that makes the size thing moot. Bad news is that he's probably on the outs

The article goes into detail and it's been discussed, but the round they are drafted in, is where everything you listed is accounted for. It's pretty much, the "Can this guy play WR?" factor and teams will draft a player higher based on that. The attributes are just that, physical attributes, but there are clear indicators what teams can look for and what to avoid. Now, whether or not the guy can play football, well that's on the scouts, coaches and FOs to determine that. One guy that graded out really high on attributes was Chase Claypool, but he's not good at football and he's not a good teammate so he's out of the NFL right now. There's always the exceptions who fall like Puka Nacua, but he has the physical size and his attributes although they are a little worse than the averages are still close. What sets him apart is his ability to get open and make plays, so his ability to play WR.

Olave on the other hand, his small so he doesn't meet the physical attributes, but his skills are higher which makes him a higher prospect. His only issue is his concussions and that is a big issue. If he could somehow avoid those, he'd be a weapon, but right now he has to be protected and probably schemed to keep clean and reduce the hits if he wants to have a long career.
