The Zion Problem

We can run the injury excuse train or whatever for him all day....

Or the he don't have enough consistent shooters excuse around him as well...

This dude has been here for 5 seasons now.... No matter what health or shooting or line up is around him...

He's an injury prone - One Trick - No Shot to speak of - Player that has reached his peak, and will not elevate this team no matter who is put around him. He's a dinosaur player with a ton of physical talent that lives in the modern era of versatile elite players that have great variance in their games...

As long as he's taking 1/4 to 1/5 of the teams' total shots... and ZERO 3s... This math don't work.

We saw what his ceiling was last year before he was injured (again).... That ceiling is a secondary option on a "play in" team. Time to move on.
Yeah I agree. He's a second option on a play in team with that roster and coaching staff. But a healthy Zion is not the reason that team is only a play in team at best. I completely agree with you about his game and injury history, and I question his longevity, as you do . Maybe he has to take so many shots because the other guys are too ineffective too often. Add a Chet Holmgren, backed up by Hartenstein, Isaiha Joe, Caruso, one or two of those Houston guys, Knicks guys, like a Brunson ... and a competent coaching staff than Z is a fine piece. of the puzzle.
