Underhill article: “Saints moves are telling us what they felt the real problem with the team was last season”

I’m going to do the whole “hypothetical” like many wants to do. “IF” we ended up winning those 5 games, plus add the 5 games that we won, brings our win total to 10 games, and DA never gets fired in the first place. So, it would be looked at as DA’s best year as a HC. He would still be here and the narrative would be “A 10-7 season, the best since SP’s exit, and is something we can build on”. The injury excuse wouldn’t be that big of a talking point bc everyone would be singing DA’s praises for beating the likes of the Eagles, Falcons, and Commanders. Kellen wouldn’t even be here if that happened. Do you see how this works? Remember that DC4 was going to return if we could’ve won those games. He would’ve had MVS/Pettis at that point and we probably don’t shut AK41 down. This is all hypothetical jargon. We all saw wasted opportunities in those games. If you are making in game mistakes with starters and backups, but still have a chance to win those games, then how is injuries the biggest problem? A 3 month span of different players and the same results. I’ve always said that the main problem was coaching. Everyone knows that I’m the biggest DA hater this side of the Mississippi. He found historical ways to lose games. Our interim HC, was nothing more than a interim guy, trying to do the best he could. If you change the HC, you have, in theory, got rid of the biggest problem. Now, at this point what do you point the finger at, as what the biggest problem is? The injury excuse, is next on the list. If our team was healthy-ish for the whole season, but the same 5-12 record, DA still gets replaced, then what would they say was the reason for the abysmal performance? I need to know bc everyone seems to need an excuse. Personally, I took that 5-12 season for what it was. No one has ever heard me say anything about the rash of injuries. We had chances to win games. We were all there. We do a few things differently, then the results would’ve been different. We sucked as a team, we sucked at coaching, we sucked from a GM standpoint. We basically just sucked. Point blank.
1st , I never said injuries were the only problem, I've always said injuries and coaching were the biggest problem and it seems the CKM and his staff are inclined to think so as well.
I've also said that in a way the injuries were a bit of a blessing in disguise because if we had been healthy we probably would have won 10 games and the NFCS and DA would still be the HC and we all knew DA would need to go eventually.

You just refuse to entertain the idea that had we not been decimated by injuries we would have probably doubled our win total or close to it.
You seem to want to make sure that all the blame falls on DA. Could that be because you are " The biggest DA hater this side of the Mississippi"?
That line kind of says it all. So any debate of the injury issue with you is fruitless. So I'll stop there because I understand where you're coming from
