A guy doesn’t need a 4.4 time to be able to take it the distance. He just has to know how to run clean routes, get his guy off balance/reroute them, and if the ball is placed correctly, then it’s a house call. Sure speed is a killer, but a lot of 4.5 guys were big play guys. Colston, Lamb (currently), Chad Johnson, and Dez Bryant comes to mind. Antonio Brown, D Hop, Davante Adams, Mike Evans I believe were in the 4.5 range. Anquan Boldin and Jerry Rice were 4.7 guys.
I only referenced BTJ bc he was selected in the 20s last year. So, he was able to be had, unlike a guy who is selected in the top 5, who we never have a chance at drafting.
