Which remaining FA Wide Receiver would you prefer? 2025 FA

Keenan Allen was paid $23M by the Bears last year, the last of a 4-year deal.

Yes, he won't be making $23M in 2025, but I would think he's in no hurry to figure out his next team or his next contract. You would think he would prioritize a team more stable at QB, after spending last year with the rookie QB and the sacks in Chicago.

We can envision him as an elder statesman, mentor and a security blanket possession receiver. But that's a luxury the Saints probably can't just take on this year, the way they brought in Emmanuel Sanders for Drew.

I don't think Loomis is done spending, but there's just not a veteran player currently who seems worthy of the overcooked AAV, or a roster spot that could go to a rookie contributor.

I want to assume that Moore and the new coach and staff energy will be more laser-focused on getting their picks developing and playing, more than in the past many years.

Free agency does have a summer period, and an injury contingency period during camp and preseason. The guys who wait to sign you may be able to get them later in the offseason at a lower price, and perhaps as the one-year rental that may be common ground for team and player.

If no more big cap money is spent, even as late as the November trade deadline, than the money can roll over to help pay 2026 dead money, which I would think would free up money and assure two $10M+ free agent signings a year from now, during the spring.
