A 32 year old WR that only played 10 games due to an infection in his knee from a meniscus procedure avging career lows doesn't aspire confidence. Cooks was already losing his burst before then too.
He's played 16, 13, 16, and 10 games the last 4 seasons. Not ready to write him off as washed, but we'll get a clear read on that this season. He was a mess in Dallas last year, but that whole offense was a mess.
We'll see him at training camp. For $7M/year for 2 years, he's potentially an affordable upgrade in depth, over the $1M guys they've been signing. Surely, they would not have sprung for this guy without checking the tank. Surely?
He is who he he is. He has not thrived on winning the love of team or fanbases to stay anywhere too long.
If all he did is have nothing more than minor injuries, be an effective decoy out there, getting enough balls that he has to accounted for, than they may get their money's worth.
