I'm not sure how people are confusing a backup QB, being signed to a backup QB contract ($4m base per year), as being somehow in line to start.

The Giants are still looking for their starter at QB.

My statement was more along the lines that he may get some starts because the Giants oline is so bad the starter probably won't last the season....
