Brandin Cooks on returning to the Saints, his thoughts on Saints WRs & talking to Derek Carr

IMO, texting or commenting online, most of the time, comes across as insensitive and overly harsh. Sarcasm also doesn't text well and always comes across as insensitive. So on a mass scale, you'll have what sounds like a ton of insensitive fools, when in fact they didnt feel that way. I try to examine the spirit in which something is said more than what is being said.
I'm not from the area, and this is what I thought.

The first time I heard it, i thought someone was being funny. And it WAS funny to me, so I laughed. And I thought others were laughing too, so the joke continued to be told. Sarcasm...satire....meant to be funny. But now i see divided camps on this forum and I'm starting to wonder. WAS it a joke, or not? Do people actually have a problem with where a new FA signing took his wife and kids for their first meal in a new town over 2 years ago? RUFKM?

And for the record....I don't think it reflects poorly on the fanbase for anyone who thinks that. I think it reflects on the individual(s). Reminds me of the work environment where someone sits on a copier to make a copy of his "moon" and posts it on the bulletin board. Some laugh, and some are offended. But it doesn't reflect poorly on the office and, therefore, doesn't need to be a new policy in the employee handbook for future hires. You just need to identify and chat with that ONE guy who took it too far. Making it about the entire office is even more offensive to me than the original idiot who thought we all needed to see a copy of their sphincter. JMO...
