Official Wrasslin' Thread (renamed to reflect the discussion)

I'm going to make a prediction: we are in the early stages of the end of this boom period for WWE. There's a major cool down coming.

The honeymoon period of Triple H taking over is very much done. Lots and lots of complaining about how boring, stagnant, and repetitive his shows are now. Lots of complaining that the major stars are barely wrestling on the weekly shows anymore, that the entire year is centered around Wrestlemania making everything feel like it's in a holding pattern, that even this year's build to WM has felt bad, ao many things ending in brawls aecurity breaks up, etc.

Then you have the ticket prices which continue to go up and up. Lots of people online complaining about what thryey paid for that Raw yesterday and how garbage a show it was, no Scottish talent, etc. The crowd was dead which for an international crowd is pretty notable.

The initial excitement for the Cena heel turn seems to have faded. He's just cutting "you people" promos now. I saw someone say they it feels more like Cena vs the Crowd then Cena vs Cody.

The chatter has turned much more negative about the product lately. I get it. I'm way less interested in the product now. The booking is coherent but so very boring and so decompressed it feels like Raw is just there to fill airtime, not actually advance anything.
I'm still enjoying the current product with WWE, I think one of the main things Trips, should definitely do a better job with booking is the ladies as a whole. They have great talent but not many good stories. Meanwhile Sean is doing a great job in NXT with those young ladies.

I felt that this year's Mania matches were/ are obvious, but I'm willing to wait to see the outcome before I judge. Bigger issue is I think this Mania will probably not be the end of some of these stories, bc the E now has to put on a 2 night Summer Fest and you basically one have 4 months to book for that PLE.

It feels like they want John to attack the fans, that way we back Cody as the guy? I do think at some point soon, John should definitely be physically assaulting Cody to get more heat. I only needed one night for Cena to tell me kick rocks.

When it comes to the price thing in the States, that's not a huge market, those prices are coming down. I have family that will be going to the Raw 2 weeks after Mania in KC, and those prices are way cheaper than Nola. I think they are realizing they are not selling out at those prices they have had this past year. It sucks they are holding the Europeans hostage with those prices.

Just a side note: My friend was asking me how come these foreign crowds (excluding Middle East) seem more fun than the US crowds. My response was when you see the crowd in Euro, just how many kids do you see in that crowd compared to a US crowd?
