Nope. I'm talking about Shadeur Sanders. McCord has good accuracy and had a good completion percentage in college at 66.2% but Sanders has elite accuracy with a 71.8% completion percentage at Colorado.
I'm not saying we should take Sanders in the 1st or that Sanders has the commitment to the game that Brees had, but he is incredibly accurate. And the thing is that QBs that just distribute the ball in college are often overlooked because they don't take over games and don't do things that get them on highlight reels. I have some concerns with Sanders pocket presence, tendency to take sacks, tendency to back out of the pocket instead of stepping up, lack of a great arm, lack of great mobility, and fear he may have reached his ceiling and his attitude could rub some players the wrong way which will make it difficult for him to lead a team, but I do wonder if we fans, and maybe the scouts, are overlooking how important his elite accuracy is to the success of NFL QBs.
Maybe that's McCord too, but I haven't see much of him.
