My restaurant caters many drug deals. The type of drug deals that incentivized my mom getting prescribed fentanyl patches for 10 years of her life to the point she was in a haze the entire time and it literally takes 3 years to ween her off of the meds. Forgive my blind faith in the pharmaceutical industry. Cha-ching.
Skepticism regarding big pharma is well-deserved. This is an industry that, along with its piece of work lobbyists and legislative lackeys, created a whole generation of opioid addicts costing billions of dollars and countless lives.
Btw, opioids don't really control pain, they just make you THINK they do. If you have no underlying health issues, you're better off alternating OTC generic NSAIDS like acetaminophen and ibuprofen. You wont' become addicted physically and you'll get actual control of the inflammation.
Just one example. The same is true of statins and SSRI's. SSRI's don't work well at all and in many cases the side effects are worse then the disease symptoms. Ask me how I know.
