Saints met Shedeur Sanders at Combine [Saints are -115 favorites to draft Shedeur]

I get that but Burrow won a natty and smoked elite teams. Much different than the Buffalos beating teams like Nebraska and Colorado State. It’s just not the same even taking LSU’s ridiculously talented roster into consideration. You still gotta go out there and win all those big SEC games and playoff games.

Sure, but Colorado's talent wasn't that much better than the talent of the teams they played and the OL was pretty bad. They had one great player in Hunter and a very good QB in Sanders.

I'm not saying Sanders is close to the player Burrow is/was. I'm just saying that being arrogant isn't a disqualification to be a great QB when you see guys like Burrow, who was also arrogant, become great players. In fact, many great players are arrogant.

So, while I think there are many legit criticisms of Sanders, like his tendency to run backward in the pocket to get out of pressure and a not great arm, I'm not sure arrogance is a good reason to not draft him. But, that will really depend on how teams feel after meeting with him and/or interacting with other players. It's a big part of why the Saints like to take a group of guys out to dinner. They like to see how guys relate to other players.

And, in the end, the Saints apparently have a 2nd round grade on Sanders so they probably won't take him at #9 and it seems likely someone will take him before #40 given that QBs are always over drafted.
