I agree with you, but Carr is too much of a competitor to not play and play hard. Just might not see him put himself in a position where he might get injured like he's done before.
I’m not knocking his competitiveness and professionalism - but *if* these reports are true (and we know how that can go) - it suggests it’s not a great situation. Going stopgap with a player - a player counted on to be a leader - who reportedly wanted out, is a challenging setup for a new coach and a fresh start.
If the reports aren’t true, or if they’ve truly smoothed things over, maybe there’s a workable way forward. If not, tough decisions might be inevitable, and even necessary.
