Biggest need other than Quarterback (merged)

IMO, WR and Edge are our two biggest needs right now. Since I don’t know what scheme Stanley plans to run or who he plans to use, I went with WR.

We still don’t have a true, dominant #1 and we have no clue if Olave’s career may soon be over with one more hit to the head. I think the Cooks signing was more of an insurance policy for Olave not making it through the season than being our #1& 2, as both are better #2’s. Shaheed is also coming off a bad injury and we can only hope his speed and agility weren’t affected.

Other than Cooks, Olave, & Shaheed, our WR’s currently consist of Means, Austin, Tipton, Pettis, & Wilson. I really hoped Means would develop, but injuries plagued his rookie season. Tipton was a beast in camp, but did not show well in actual games. Austin and Pettis have been passed around the league, both have ability but are not dominate. And Wilson I guess was a product of playing with other good WR’s and cleaning up as a 3rd WR cause he has been invisible here.

I would really like to see us double dip on WR’s this draft. A big strong WR that can be a go to for whoever our QB is and a future replacement for Olave.
