C’mon…….everyone knows the lyrics to at least one song. Here’s a story. I was 21 years old and I had a roommate who could sing. Pretty interesting, cool, and unique guy. There were times I would come home late from hanging out at my GF’s house. I would routinely find him in the backyard, with a fire going, and some beer, but he would be in the process of singing. He would always stop singing when he would see me walk up. I would always sit down and he would beer me and we would talk and such. One night, I had an argument with my GF. The argument had me really really down. This particular night, once again he was in the backyard, with a fire, beers, and once again in the process of singing. As I sat down, I finally said to him….. “it’s ok man, just continue to sing”. He said “I take it that you and your girl had an argument”??? Guess it was written on my face or it was a wild guess. Either way, I told him to sing whatever, that i didn’t care. Dude started singing a song, but I kinda recognized the lyrics. Now granted he is a singer and he is not singing the song like it was in the radio. I take a swig of my beer, I then hear “I’ve been down to the bottom of every bottle” etc etc etc……and in my mind I thought “this is a Nickleback song and he actually makes it sound appealing. That’s when I knew that subconsciously I knew lyrics to one of their songs, but I just didn’t recognize the thought of that initially. So, bc I don’t want to be the only person to admit this, I am calling 🧢 on you saying that you don’t know their lyrics as well 🤣🤣🤣
