yeah I hear ya, but would you let someone with BAD hands do it. Devery I believe returned kicks like ipointed aout above. But Devery has bad hands for a WR, he has good hands compared to alot of DBs etc. I think you have to be able to catch to return kick. Bad handsy's means no catchie So I do think it applies in some way shape or form.
Also I have caught many of footballs thrown via someones hand, and caught many in the air being punted. I think they both require alotta the same skills, but I would say its harder to catch the wabbly punt, or the ball going end over end, than it is to catch a nice spiral. But thats just me.
