State & Saints enter preliminary negotiations for long-term deal -- new stadium likely off the table

In the first instance, the dome is NOT less than a mile. If you'd look at a map, you'd see that. It's about a mile and a quarter as the crow flies, which means that it's at least a mile and a half, or a 25 min walk. I've done it. And you have to get through a few undesirable areas on the way. In the second case, tell all the season ticket holders like me to stay home whenever they complain about another season ticket price hike because they have to underwrite club fees and stadium improvements. I'm guessing you're either a guy with lots of disposable income or you don't have season tickets. By the way, parking is $25 now.

In any case, read the Sports Illustrated article posted by a previous poster. The dome gets a 42 out of 70 rating. Pretty bad.

Actually you can avoid the undesireable areas when walking from the Dome to the quarter. Plus, it's not like the quarters is so secure. Plus the games played during the day mostly. So it's not like you are gonna walk dark and undesireable areas.

Also, if the ticket prices are so bad then don't go to the games. You have a choice. No NFL game is cheap!
